Why do lawns sink and settle?
Lawns can sink for several reasons: rotting tree roots beneath the surface, poorly compacted soil from old landscaping, or trenches from old pipework finally settling. These sunken hollows not only make your garden look untidy, but they also act as catch-basins for rainwater. The grass in these dips drowns, rots, and is quickly replaced by thick, spongy moss.
Our process guarantees a perfectly flat finish. We don't just throw topsoil into the holes—we completely strip the affected area to assess the subsoil. We then use professional grading equipment to pull the earth level, firmly compacting the sub-base so it won't sink again. We finish by spreading a fine layer of loamy topsoil and laying premium, field-fresh turf. You get a pristine, even surface that is an absolute joy to mow.
