The 'Supply Only' Strategy
You can dramatically reduce your costs by taking on the ground preparation:
- Dig it out yourself: Hire a skip and use a spade to strip off the old grass and dig out any rubble.
- Turn the soil: Hire a heavy-duty rotovator from a local tool shop and spend the day churning the compacted earth to improve drainage.
